6 in the morning + TSC + violin + August Rush

6:oo in the morning. Lately, this has been my regular bedtime range . Even after an exhausting day. Sometimes I find it hard sleeping anymore specially seeing the sun rising already and everyone just waking up. I just force myself to sleep. I then wake up in the afternoon.

Last night I attended TSC’s EB gathering at Starbuck, Araneta, after months of absence. I didn’t really want to come along. My brother just forced me too. I brought my laptop there so I could play Grand Chase in case of boredom. But after getting bored in playing too, I just decided to learn AGAIN some basic card tricks and technical moves. Wonder if would ever get back to magic…

[TSC - The Story Circle - is an online and real world community and forum for magic Philippines. I was a magician in TSC back then before I became a photographer. I was influenced by my older brother because he’s one of the founders of TSC. But I don’t regret it. Being a magician’s fun but after learning and performing a few tricks, I realized that I’d rather be a spectator]

After coming home from TSC, my brother let me borrow his violin. A rather OLD one [ ten years or so ]. I remember him having a violin back when I was still a wee little kid, but I never remember hearing him playing it even once. Odd. Anyhow, though it’s old, the fact that my brother modified it to be oh so UNIQUE and easier to use makes me love it.

My brother modified the turning pegs of the violin and exchanged it with a guitar’s turning pegs. He said it’s easier to tune the violin in that way. Plus, it’s unique because it’s the only violin with guitar turning pegs. Really cool.

We found the bow of the violin broken inside the case. So I still couldn’t try whether it still works or not. I’m going to buy a new bow for it when I save up enough money from my allowance oh, I really hope it still works. *crosses fingers*

I’ve been inspired to learn the violin by the movie “August Rush”. A very stunning movie there's not a shot that you would want to miss!
